Job Description

We are seeking a licensed and detail-oriented Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for dispensing medications, providing expert advice on drug therapies, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and supporting patient care through accurate pharmaceutical services.

Key Responsibilities:
Review and dispense prescription medications accurately and in accordance with legal and professional standards.

Provide information and guidance to patients on the proper use, side effects, interactions, and storage of medications.

Monitor patient medication therapies to improve outcomes and minimize adverse reactions.

Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.

Maintain accurate records of prescriptions, patient profiles, and inventory levels.

Ensure compliance with all applicable pharmacy laws and regulations (e.g., FDA, DEA, local health authorities).

Manage inventory, including ordering, receiving, storing, and removing expired drugs.

Offer vaccinations, health screenings, and wellness services where applicable.

Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff as needed.

Stay current with continuing education and advancements in pharmaceutical science and healthcare practices.

Qualifications:

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited institution.

Licensing:

Valid pharmacist license in [state/region of employment].

Immunization certification (where applicable).

Experience:

Previous experience in retail, hospital, or clinical pharmacy preferred.

Skills:

Strong knowledge of pharmaceuticals, drug interactions, and dosage requirements.

Excellent communication and counseling skills.

Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.

Familiarity with pharmacy software systems (e.g., PioneerRx, QS/1, Epic).
