Freight Broker – US Logistics

Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Freight Broker to join our dynamic logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for matching shippers with transportation carriers, negotiating rates, and managing shipments across the U.S. You will play a key role in expanding our carrier network, ensuring timely delivery of freight, and providing top-tier customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
Source and onboard reliable carriers and negotiate competitive freight rates.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with shippers, carriers, and other logistics partners.

Schedule and track freight shipments, ensuring on-time pickup and delivery.

Manage load boards (DAT, Truckstop, etc.) and dispatch freight accordingly.

Communicate proactively with customers and carriers regarding shipment updates.

Resolve transportation issues and delays efficiently.

Maintain accurate records of freight transactions and documentation.

Stay current with market trends, regulations (FMCSA, DOT), and fuel surcharges.

Qualifications:
Experience: 1–3 years as a Freight Broker or in logistics/transportation sales (preferred).

Knowledge: Familiarity with U.S. freight market, modes of transportation (FTL, LTL), and compliance regulations.

Skills: Strong negotiation, multitasking, and communication skills.

Tools: Proficiency with TMS (Transportation Management Systems), load boards, and Microsoft Office.

Education: High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field is a plus.
