Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Engineer to ensure the proper functioning and upkeep of all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems within the facility. The ideal candidate will troubleshoot issues, conduct regular inspections, and perform preventive and corrective maintenance to guarantee operational efficiency and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance and inspections of equipment, systems, and facilities.
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing issues and implement repairs.
Carry out preventive maintenance tasks as scheduled.
Maintain records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff or guests (if hotel-based).
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and internal maintenance policies.
Coordinate with external vendors and contractors when specialized work is required.
Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment or systems.
Monitor building management systems (BMS) for performance and anomalies.
Support energy-saving and sustainability initiatives.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer or Technician in a similar setting.
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
Hands-on experience with HVAC systems, pumps, boilers, and generators.
Ability to read technical drawings, manuals, and schematics.
Basic computer skills; familiarity with maintenance software or BMS is a plus.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work in shifts, including weekends and emergency calls.
Diploma or degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field.
Relevant certifications (e.g., HVAC, electrical license) are advantageous.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in hotel or hospitality maintenance (for hotel roles).
Multitasking ability under minimal supervision.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
