Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to perform general maintenance and repairs on equipment, systems, and facilities. The ideal candidate should be hands-on, responsive, and capable of troubleshooting and resolving a variety of maintenance issues to ensure smooth and safe operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.

Diagnose and repair basic issues with lighting, plumbing, doors, locks, and appliances.

Respond promptly to service requests and emergency maintenance calls.

Assist with facility upgrades, renovations, and installations.

Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory.

Ensure all work complies with safety codes and building regulations.

Operate tools and equipment in a safe and efficient manner.

Coordinate with external vendors or contractors when necessary.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance workspaces and tools.

Support sustainability and energy-efficiency efforts.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician, Handyman, or similar role.

Knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical systems.

Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues independently.

Familiarity with hand and power tools.

Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.

Physical ability to lift heavy items, climb ladders, and perform manual tasks.

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or be on-call for emergencies.

High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

Experience in hotel, residential, or commercial maintenance.

Working knowledge of building automation or facility management systems.

Good communication and teamwork skills
